MANCHESTER UNITED 3 TOTTENHAM 1

Man United moved into the fifth round of the FA Cup as Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to help them beat an improving Tottenham.

Aaron Lennon, finally looking like he is rediscovering his form, created the opener with a run and cross for Robbie Keane to tap home from close range after 24 minutes.

A poor header by Michael Dawson allowed Ryan Giggs to set up Carlos Tevez to bring the scores level at half time.

An open second half saw the lively Jermaine Jenas at the centre of Spurs attacking play, but the England midfielder wasted clear cut opportunities when clean through on goal.

And Spurs were made to pay for their missed chances when Michael Dawson was sent off for using his arm to palm the ball away from Wayne Rooney. Cristiano Ronaldo dispatched the ball past Radek Cerny in the Tottenham goal.

Ronaldo made the game safe for United late on when his low shot squirmed under the body of Cerny for his 25th goal of the season.
